BPOs: The Agent's Role in the Valuation Process - $169

BPOEvaluating property values depends more than ever on professional expertise and competence, the best use of technology, and a commitment to approach the valuation assignment from all pertinent perspectives. "BPOs: The Agent's Role in the Valuation Process is specifically designed to help residential real estate agents and brokers enhance their skills in creating BPOs, reducing risk, and applying alternative valuation methods.

Counts as one REBAC elective course to be applied towards the ABR Designation.

Upon completion of the course, students will need to view a free one-hour webinar found at http://www.bpor.org/, submit an application and pay a $199 application fee (no annual dues required, only maintained membership in NAR) to earn the certification.

Global Real Estate: Local Markets

Global Real Estate: Local Markets is the first of seven international courses developed by Global Business and Alliances of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (NAR). This course is designed to introduce real estate professionals to the basic skills and knowledge necessary to facilitate international real estate transactions. This is the prerequisite course required to earn the Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) designation.

The course is designed to benefit experienced international professionals, individuals with real estate experience who are considering international specialization, and NAR general membership.

Global Real Estate: Transaction Tools

Global Real Estate: Transaction Tools course examines how customary real estate practices need to be modified when working with international clients or properties. For that reason, it is important for international professionals to be familiar with the skills presented in this course.

This course provides the tools and concepts real estate professionals need to serve clients and customers in the global real estate market. Students learn how to research markets, convert metric measures, monitor currency trends, alert clients to tax and visa matters, and follow a process for compiling transaction information. This course is one of the two core courses required to earn the Certified International Property Specialist designation.

(CNE) Certified Negotiations Expert Designation

CNEThe CNE course is a multi media, interactive course offered online through the RealtyU® Learning Management System and is based on the live negotiations course taught by the course creator and author, Tom Hayman.

It’s as if you are learning directly from Tom in a virtual classroom with a “front-row seat.” You’ll get most of the benefits of a live classroom without the frustration of fighting traffic, taking a day off, or dealing with classmates who ask redundant questions wasting everyone’s time.

NAR Green Designation

NAR Green DesignationProvides advanced training in green building and sustainable business practices so that you can seek out, understand, and market properties with green features. Understand green, how green is transforming the needs and concerns of buyers and sellers, as well as how REALTORS® can adopt and implement green practices in their day-to-day businesses.

In order to earn NAR's Green Designation, the student must successfully complete the three 1 day Green courses: NAR Green 100: Real Estate for a Sustainable Future, NAR Green 200: The Science of Green Building and NAR Green 300: Greening Your Real Estate Business.

NAR's Green Designation Courses count as credit toward earning the NAR's Green Designation, awarded by the Green REsource Council. These courses also meet the elective course requirement for the ABR® Designation awarded by the Real Estate Buyers Agent Council (REBAC). A copy of the course completion certificate is required to receive credit towards your ABR designation.

NAR Green 100: Real Estate for a Sustainable Future - $169

Green 100: Real Estate for a Sustainable Future leads students through an exploration of issues and trends in relation to real estate’s role in finding the balance between people, planet, and prosperity. Students learn how to respond to consumer perceptions of what green means in the presence of a proliferation of green products, programs, and businesses as well as help consumers understand the significance of national green certifications and ratings programs for homes, energy efficiency, construction materials, and professionals. The course seeks to instill the mindset essential to building a green-focused real estate business so that students can apply knowledge of green trends and approaches to business planning.

NAR Green 200: The Science of Green Building - $169

Working from the outside of the home to the inside, Green 200: The Science of Green Building familiarizes students with green principles and choices in home design and construction. The course begins with site analysis and orientation followed by constructing the building envelope and choosing green systems. Students learn how building components and systems interrelate to create a green home. A special chapter looks at how net zero energy homes generate their own power and sell back to the grid. The course concludes with an exploration levels and cost-benefits of retrofitting, remodeling, or renovating for existing homes.

NAR Green 300: Greening Your Real Estate Business - $169

Learning how to plan strategies and implement tactics for building a green real estate business is the focus of Green 300: Greening Your Real Estate Business. Students learn how to adapt their core real estate business skills to list and market green properties and represent green sellers and buyers. The course also covers challenges of methods of appraising and pricing homes with green features. Students learn what goes into establishing the market value of homes with green features even when there are no comparables available.

(SRES®) Seniors Real Estate Specialist Designation - $399

SRESThe SRES® Designation course seeks to instill knowledge and understanding of and empthy for 55+ real estate clients and customers. Develop the business building skills and resources needed for specialization in the 55+ real estate market.

Designation Requirements:

Three (3) requirements must be met to attain and use the SRES® designation. 

  1. Successful completion of the two-day SRES® Designation Course, including an 80% passing grade on the exam.

  2. Maintain active membership in the National Association of REALTORS®.

  3. Maintain active membership in the SRES® Council.  The first year membership is included with the SRES® Designation course.  However, every year thereafter will require payment of annual dues.

The SRES course counts as one REBAC elective course to be applied toward the ABR designation and 11 hours of FREC CE credit. (classroom course only) It also counts as an elective to be applied towards the RSPS Certification.
